How to get there
1. By car (from Taipei): Take National Highway No. 1 to Sanyi Miao Township Road 51, get off at Exit 150-Sanyi Interchange, and take Jianfeng Highway/Taiwan Line 13 to Jianfeng Road to reach the Huoyan Mountain Trail .

The first stop before arriving at the Huoyan Mountain Trail is to go to the Sanyi Cheting Service Area to replenish food, water and other supplies needed for climbing. The service area ranges from souvenirs, convenience stores, coffee shops to food courts. There are also McDonald's and gas stations on one side. It is recommended to stop when passing by so that everyone can make up the supplements before going up the mountain!

Before the introduction, it was mentioned that you should bring: mobile food, water, anti-mosquito/insect/sun protection products, toilet paper, wet tissues, etc. If you forget to bring it, you can go to the family convenience store in the innermost part of the service area. The merchandise items are relatively complete.
After the replenishment, continue to the climbing entrance. If you are driving by yourself, there is a free parking space under the bridge near the climbing entrance, and there is a paid parking lot on the other side (the charge is 50 yuan per time, and there are toilets provided), so don't be afraid to go out too late. 10:30 Huoyan Mountain Trail
When you arrive at the mountain pass, you can feel the popularity of Huoyan Mountain. At the same time, there are people who are going to climb the mountain, and there are also those who set off early in the morning after climbing and just descended. After entering the mountain pass, there are stone and dirt roads along the way. Although it is easy to walk, due to the special geology of the Huoyan Mountain, there are signs on the signs along the way to remind everyone not to approach or stay, so you should not take it lightly!

The ascent is continuous along the way, but the slope is not very steep and it is not too difficult. Moreover, some relatively uneven sections are equipped with rope assistance. The dangerous sections are also pulled up by ropes to put danger slogans, so in fact, even novice climbers are not. Too easy to get lost or stray into dangerous areas.
There is also a platform rest area at 1.3K. There are a lot of bamboo chairs for mountain friends to rest and replenish food and water. The bamboo chairs are just in the shade of the trees. When the weather is good, the sun shines through the dense woods and forms on the red soil. After having enough rest, we will continue to move along the red clay towards the Grand Canyon. There are also rest points at 1.6K and 3K before reaching the triangle point, but we can’t wait to walk directly to 2K, because we can see the big after 2K.
