Must-buy in Taiwan-paper thin jerky! What’s different from the normal jerky is its taste. The thickness is only 0.01 cm, which is like a paper. There’re two kinds of taste- crispy and chewing. In the late 19th century, with the development of tea trade, Twatutia became the most prosperous commercial area in Taiwan. Dihua Street, as the center of Dadaocheng, lots of stores settled down here. Therefore, there’re different different architecture style here like western-style building, baroque architecture, modern architecture…etc. Diverse architecture styles become a feature of this street now. Recently, the government also develop some cultural and creative shops here, so you could also have a historical and cultural trip here. 


Located at Dihua Street, Chiang Ji Hua Long is a historic store for 30 years. This street, famous for new year market, there’re crowds of people doing chinese new year shopping here and the jerky in Chiang Ji Hua Long becomes one of the most popular goods. Besides taiwaneses, it also ranks high for the tourists and become the must-buy for them.

A couple from Chiayi take train to Nanmen Market in Taipei. This train takes not only the dream of this couple but also a good taste from their hometown.


Starting from a small shop in Nanmen Market, with the same name and same taste, it became brand new after managed by the second generation and has expanded tens of branches now. You could also see it in many department stores. There’re plenty of flavors, paper thin jerky for example, there’re four choices.
