Travel industry promotes tourism subsidy mode in Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County, Taitung County, Hualien County, Yilan County
The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Communications encourages travel operators to package high-quality age-old and group-owned tourism products, and promotes the participation of people over the age of 60 in leisure and recreational consumption, taking into account the overall situation of Yilan County, Hualien County, Taitung County, Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County. The inter-city transportation environment is relatively inconvenient. It is to revitalize and reward the national tourism in the Gaoping area of Yihua East. It combines the general nationals and the senior citizens to enjoy the sunrise tour, enhance the local tourism industry, and activate the local tourism activities.
[Scope and conditions of subsidies]:
(1) The number of days of travel shall be two days and one night, and the travel itinerary shall be arranged no more than one day after the holiday.
(2) The number of delegations shall be more than ten national visitors of this nationality.
(3) Accommodations and accommodations that have obtained the tourist hotel license in accordance with the law in the Gaoping area of Yihua East and the registration card must be arranged and used. The holiday referred to in the preceding paragraph is based on the “Administrative Office Calendar” published by the Office of Personnel Administration of the Executive Yuan.
[subsidy amount]:
According to the previous regulations, the travel industry should apply for transportation and accommodation expenses subsidies. The maximum daily foreign exchange rate is NT$500 for each Chinese traveler and NT$1,000 for each national traveller over 60 years old. The total amount does not exceed NT$10 million; each travel industry applies for a maximum of 10 groups.
[Assistance time limit]:
The travel industry will apply for subsidies according to this point. At the latest, the tour should be conducted before December 31, 2007, and before January 31, 2008 (by postmark). This Council applies for a subsidy; it will not be accepted if it is overdue.
