Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea)

The Tiger Cave Temple is a Buddhist temple north-northeast of Krabi, Thailand. A sacred site, it is known for the tiger paw prints in the cave, tall Buddha statues and the strenuous flight of stairs to reach the summit. 

There are no tigers in the Tiger Cave Temple, but there is a 18-meter-high Buddha. The entire Buddha is covered with golden mosaic tiles, shining and dazzling under the sun. The surrounding area is full of offerings to Buddha, Devotees and worshippers can see how important the Tiger Cave Temple is in the hearts of local people in Kanchanaburi. In addition to the Big Buddha, stupas are also highly recommended for everyone to walk around, because each building is very unique!

Death Railway

The Burma Railway, also known as the Death Railway, the Siam–Burma Railway, the Thai–Burma Railway and similar names, was a 415-kilometre railway between Ban Pong, Thailand, and Thanbyuzayat, Burma, built by the Empire of Japan in 1943 to support its forces in the Burma campaign of World War II.

The Bridge on the River Kwai

The River Kwai Bridge was first repaired with a wooden bridge and a reinforced concrete bridge, but both bridges were blown up in 1945 and then repaired several times. The current River Kwai Bridge was purchased after the Second World War. After the reconstruction, the seven-time Oscar-winning film "The Bridge over the River Kwai" was shot against this background.
